As a functioning cinema, The Capri has the latest in digital technology (not the old plonker you see to your right) and surround sound, whether you want to see the latest movie or see your Powerpoint Presentation come to life on a large scale. We also have a comprehensive audio and lighting suite to support a range of client needs and requests.
Our duty officers can provide basic technical support for the screening of films and the set up and use of the equipment below, included in the hire price of the equipment. For more complex events, you would need to engage an external AV company. We recommend Scene Change, details in the brochure linked below, but we are happy to work with anyone you trust.
If you have a presentation which includes a DVD, film or PowerPoint presentation, we require this at least two days in advance of your event in order to test that it will work with our system.

STAIRS
The stage is accessible via stairs at either side, which can also be setup at the front if required.
CINEMA SCREEN
The cinema is at the back of the stage and is covered by red curtains. There is no curtain at the front of the stage and no facility to erect one.

Lighting
CONTROLS
The stage, curtain, and auditorium lighting are all dimmable and digitally controlled through two control surfaces. A 48 channel DMX desk with faders, and a touch screen with ‘scenes’, presets and auto dimming. Both the desk and touch screen can be used concurrently.
FIXTURES
There are a mixture of 24 fixed LED, and incandescent fixtures permanently mounted above the stage, in risers on side walls and across the balcony.
All of the LED fixtures are multicoloured including white. Some incandescent are white, some have fixed gels.
All fixtures including the ceiling and house lights are available and controllable by the single DMX universe.
The Xenon Arc ‘movie grade’ spotlight adds the special touch of professionalism to any show.
