The Capri is available to hire for corporate events, seminars, awards nights, private screenings, school productions and more. This unique venue is heritage listed and is only 10 minutes from the city, making it a great alternative with bags of charm to help engage your audience.
Theatre Capacity
The Capri can accommodate up to 750 guests over two levels in a theatre style. For smaller presentations, you may choose to seat your guests in either the stalls with a maximum capacity of 300 or the lounge with a maximum of 450.
Foyers
The main foyer is a great space for your guests to gather and have a drink before a performance. The upper foyer is slightly smaller and generally functions as an overflow for your guests before a performance or during an interval.

Green Room
There is a green room and bathroom/shower facilities behind the stage for performers that includes a full length mirror, hanging facilities and a fridge.

The Cost
The Capri venue hire rates are outlined below and include a Duty Manager, all front-of-house staff, and access to our in-house PA system, lighting and projection equipment. We do not offer hourly rates.
- Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) $1,980
- Weekend (9am to 5pm) $2,200
- Sunday to Thursday (5:30pm to 11pm) $2,200
- Friday (5:30pm to 11pm) $2,750
- Saturday (5:30pm to 11pm) $3,850
Availability for private hires is dependent on movie contracts and is extremely limited on Friday and Saturday evenings.
