Why We Are Rallying for Nathan

In September 2025, at 3 years old, Nathan was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer. Over the last nine months, he has faced an incredibly difficult medical battle, spending 234 out of 250 days inside the hospital. His treatment has included five intensive rounds of chemotherapy and a nine-hour surgery to remove his primary tumor. Following a rare post-surgery complication that left him unable to eat or drink normally, Nathan required an additional eight-hour procedure and remains connected to 24/7 feeding lines for essential nutrition as he prepares for many more months of challenging treatment ahead.

Despite what Nathan has endured he is quick to smile, possesses an infectious laugh, and is an absolute bundle of sunshine and cheekiness. He fights through his daily challenges with immense bravery.

This extended medical crisis has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on Nathan's family. His mum has had to leave her job entirely to remain by his hospital bedside, his dad has had to modify his working hours to care for the family, and his two older sisters deeply miss their brother at home. This fundraiser is our community's opportunity to show solidarity, celebrate Nathan's upcoming 4th birthday, and help ease the mounting financial pressure of hospital expenses and lost income so his parents can focus entirely on his recovery.
