Released in 1941 – the very same year the Capri first opened its doors – Dumbo has been delighting generations of children and families for more than eight decades with its timeless story of courage, friendship and discovering that the things that make us different can also make us extraordinary.
Before the movie, experience one of the Capri’s most treasured traditions as the mighty WurliTzer theatre organ rises from beneath the stage to play the session in, just as it would have done for audiences in the cinema’s early years.
Originally created by Walt Disney during animation’s golden age, Dumbo remains one of the studio’s most celebrated films. At just 64 minutes, it is one of Disney’s shortest animated features, yet it won an Academy Award for its musical score and gave the world the unforgettable song Baby Mine. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in recognition of its cultural and historical significance.
