Welcome in the warmth of Spring and join us at the Adelaide Independent Film Festival (AIFF) for an afternoon of incredible short films presented at the uniquely designed and heritage-listed Capri Theatre!
Experience the allure of a 1941 art deco theatre and become captivated by inspiring, thought-provoking stories that will challenge your perspective on the world.
The official programme comprises over twenty short films from seven countries, including an award winner from this year’s Sydney Film Festival, a short film from the prestigious American Film Institute, and short films selected at the Melbourne International Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, Flickerfest, and the St Kilda Film Festival.
To add extra flavour to the mix, you’ll hear the Capri Theatre’s beating heart – their Wurlitzer Theatre organ – play before the official selection.
AIFF24 is proudly sponsored by The City of Unley, CrewHQ, the Mercury, Capri Theatre, the Fleurieu Film Festival, ProAv Solutions, Etikette, Alpha Trophies, the 48 Hour Film Project, and Actors Ink.
Thank you for supporting the AIFF. We hope you have a wonderful experience at our festival.
Specific Information:
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door (on 19 October 2024) with discounted prices available for Unley residents, concession card holders, students and volunteers at the Capri Theatre.
The Audience Award empowers you, our audience, to choose your favourite film from the afternoon’s lineup. Voting can be done in two ways: using a smartphone or pen and paper.
After the awards presentation, join us in the foyer for a celebratory drink with the filmmakers. We’d love to know which short film was your favourite!
A full screening programme is available on our website.
