We need your help.
In the mid 1970’s an intrepid band of theatre organ enthusiasts dreamt of finding a home for their mighty WurliTzer organ. That group was the Theatre Organ Society of Australia SA Inc, and the home they found was at the Capri Theatre. The building was purchased in 1978 but that was just the beginning of a huge project to install the organ while returning the theatre to its former art deco glory.
More than forty-five years later we strive to keep the dream alive, caring for both the technical marvel of a theatre organ plus a heritage-listed building. Both are key to our goal of maintaining the tradition and understanding of theatre organ music as means of entertainment.
This work only continues through the efforts of our many wonderful volunteers, the proceeds of movies, concerts and events, plus valued donations. If you are able to assist the work of the society with a donation, please click on the link below.
