The Bone Health Foundation
Like most people, you probably don’t really think about your bones until something doesn’t feel right. But bones do more than just keep everything in place. They provide support and structure, protect vital organs, help us move, and even store essential minerals. Over six million Australians suffer from painful bone health related conditions such as scoliosis and osteoporosis, where treatment is expensive and serious life impact. By building the right foundations for strong bones early in life, and then looking after those bones, many problems can be minimised or even prevented through simple lifestyle and nutrition choices. The Bone Health Foundation is a South Australian not-for-profit which exists to raise awareness, provide education and support research into healthy bones for everybody.
