DESCRIPTION:In May 2024 we enjoyed the Brass Quintet from the SA Police Band. This time we have the whole band\, filling the Capri stage. This band is much loved by communities across South Australia\, and features some of SA’s finest musicians. Providing a light hearted musical entertainment with a virtuosic twist\, this group of cheeky talented musicians are a favourite amongst audiences of all ages. Claire Baker will play the mighty WurliTzer organ before the band take to the stage. \n\n\n\nThe May concert attracted a big audience\, this April concert will probably sell out\, so book early to avoid missing out.

SUMMARY:Morning Memories - Love Lives Forever
DESCRIPTION:The final Morning Memories show  for 2024\, Love Lives Forever\, promises to bring to our Capri Theatre audiences a delightful and varied program of beautiful music. \nThe program has been curated by music specialist Anne ApThomas who will bring her particular skills to the concert playing the grand piano and harp. Anne will be joined onstage for musical duets with Jenni Burton at the  Wurlitzer Organ\, with old favorites like Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree and Makin’ Whoopi\, made famous by Eddie Cantor. \nJohn Slater will also perform on the Mighty Wurlitzer with his own selection of love songs. \nViolinist Jocelyn Nguyen will play several duets with Anne accompanying her on piano and harp. \nThen to add more variety to the show\, octogenarians Richie Gun and John Aue will perform several popular melodies\, including Love Walked Right In on piano and double bass. \nThe morning concert will be rounded off with more love songs\, this time coming from the Ukrainian singing group\, Le Leky Ensemble. \nLove will certainly be in the air for this special event. \n10:00am – Morning tea10:30am – Performance12:00pm – Finish

The concert will showcase the most famous songs of Monsieur Aznavour\, some will be sung in English\, some will be sung in French\, and… maybe one or two will be sung in your original language 😉 \n\n\n\nThe Capri Theatre\, a listed heritage building\, is the perfect place to showcase this tribute concert to Monsieur Aznavour.
