SUMMARY:Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were Rabbit - Kid's Nostalgia Event
DESCRIPTION:Dust off your bunny ears and round up the family for an afternoon of old-school fun at the Capri! \n\n\n\nWe’re kicking things off with a classic cartoon to warm up those giggles\, before stepping back in time for a short silent comedy brought gloriously to life by John Slater on the mighty WurliTzer theatre organ. There’s nothing quite like the sound of pipes\, pedals and playful melodies filling the Art Deco auditorium — just as it did in cinema’s golden age. \n\n\n\nThen it’s time for cheese\, chaos and colossal carrots as we screen the beloved claymation adventure Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. When a mysterious beast starts terrorising Tottington’s vegetable gardens\, eccentric inventor Wallace and his long-suffering (and much smarter) dog Gromit must hop into action. Expect cracking contraptions\, British wit\, and more Wensleydale references than you can shake a celery stick at. \n\n\n\nIt’s a celebration of screen nostalgia for kids and grown-ups alike — cartoons\, silent comedy\, live organ music and a modern animated classic\, all under one beautifully restored 1920s roof. \n\n\n\nBig laughs. Big carrots. Big organ sound. \n\n\n\nBook early — this one’s bound to multiply! 🐰🎬

SUMMARY:Marilyn Monroe's 100th Birthday - double feature
DESCRIPTION:Diamonds may be forever… but icons are once in a century. \n\n\n\nJoin us as we celebrate the 100th birthday of Hollywood’s ultimate blonde bombshell\, Marilyn Monroe\, with a dazzling double feature on the big screen. \n\n\n\nFirst\, it’s the sparkling\, show-stopping glamour of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes\, where Monroe’s Lorelei Lee teaches us all that diamonds are a girl’s best friend (and that pink satin never goes out of style). Then we turn up the heat with The Seven Year Itch\, featuring that subway-grate scene — the white dress\, the breeze\, the moment that defined movie history. \n\n\n\nFrom her comic timing to her vulnerability\, from Technicolor musical numbers to Manhattan mischief\, Marilyn remains one of cinema’s most enduring stars. A century on\, she still glows on the big screen exactly as she was meant to. \n\n\n\nSo slip into something fabulous\, gather your best girlfriends (or your best leading man)\, and celebrate 100 years of sparkle\, sass and silver-screen magic. \n\n\n\nBecause some like it hot… but we prefer it on the Capri screen. \n\n\n\n1:45pm – Organ2:00pm – Gentlemen Prefer Blondes3:30pm – Interval3:50pm – 7 Year Itch5:35pm – Finish

Purple Rain became a cultural lightning bolt\, blending music\, drama and autobiography into one of the most iconic rock films ever made. \n\n\n\nThe Story:Prince stars as “The Kid\,” a gifted but troubled Minneapolis musician navigating rivalry\, romance and a turbulent home life while fighting to keep his band — The Revolution — on top at a local nightclub. At its heart\, Purple Rain is about finding your voice\, breaking cycles\, and turning pain into art. \n\n\n\nWhy It Matters: \n\n\n\n\nMade on a modest budget of around $7 million\, the film grossed over $70 million worldwide.\n\n\n\nThe soundtrack became one of the best-selling albums of all time\, spending 24 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the US.\n\n\n\nIt won the Academy Award for Best Original Song Score.\n\n\n\nThe legendary title track “Purple Rain” was recorded live at Minneapolis’ First Avenue club — the very venue that inspired the film’s setting.\n\n\n\n\nMarking ten years since Prince’s passing\, this screening is more than a movie night — it’s a celebration of a once-in-a-generation artist whose style\, sound and fearless individuality still electrify the screen. \n\n\n\nLet’s go crazy… one more time. 💜

SUMMARY:Exhibition on Screen: Turner & Constable
DESCRIPTION:Two of Britain’s greatest painters\, J.M.W. Turner and John Constable were also the greatest of rivals. Born within a year of each other\, both used landscape painting to reflect the changing world around them. Tate Britain is bringing these two greats together for a groundbreaking exhibition\, in London from November 2025 to April 2026\, and Exhibition on Screen once again has exclusive and privileged access to bring their extraordinary art and remarkable stories to the big screen in February so that you can enjoy both film and exhibition together. Discover unexpected sides to both artists with intimate views of sketchbooks and personal items and insights from leading experts. \n\n\n\nTurner’s blazing sunsets and sublime scenes from his travels and Constable’s idealised depictions of beloved places from home whipped the public of the time into a frenzy of enthusiasm. Constable represents the very best of the old school of realism and pastoral nostalgia; Turner\, an exciting new way of depicting emotion and dreamlike impressions. Critics compared their starkly different styles to a clash of ‘fire and water’. Don’t miss this opportunity to see these greats side-by-side\, as they so often were in life\, on the big screen for the first time.

SUMMARY:FOREVER YOUNG
DESCRIPTION:FOREVER YOUNG – A Geoffrey Reed Film \n\n\n\nThis documentary is a true-life story of indomitable spirit by the world’s oldest competitive tennis player\, set against the Russian War against Ukraine. \n\n\n\nA heart-warming story about the life and times of the legendary Henry Young\, now the world’s oldest competitive tennis player at 102 years of age. \n\n\n\nIn February 2022\, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine\, starting the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II. The war brought a refugee crisis and  over 1 million wounded and dead. In the news was a story about a Ukrainian Tennis player Leonid Stanislavskyi. Then 97\, Leo held the Guinness world record oldest competitive tennis player title. \n\n\n\nGeoffrey checked with Henry who is six months older. The Russian Invasion was an outrage. I remember the frustration of feeling powerless to do anything about it. This triggered Geoffrey’s idea for Henry to challenge Leonid for the title. The match was called The Clash of the Centurions to raise money for Ukraine war victims. \n\n\n\nHenry was on-board in a heart-beat. Together we filmed Henry’s  challenge Ukraine’s Leonid Stanislavskyi\, to a match to decide the title role. Leonid was then refusing to leave his apartment in Kharkiv\, which was severely bombed during the Russian invasion. \n\n\n\nAustralia’s National Newspaper has called our Clash of the Centurions the best “good news story” of the year in 2022-23. \n\n\n\nThe 2023 Australian Open loved the story too. We got a greenlight and Clash of the Centurions match was played on centre court at Rod Laver Arena in January 2023. A sell-out crowd of 15\,000 watch our centurions play alongside Zverev and Tiafo together with Rafa\, Andy Murray\, Demon and other world’s top players in a fundraiser for Ukraine War victims.  \n\n\n\nAfter the 2023 Australian Open\, Tennis Plays for Peace\, run by the ATP\, WTP\, ITF and the 4 Grand Slams had raised over $4 million for Ukraine war victims. \n\n\n\nForever Young then showcases Henry’s newfound celebrity as a guest on The Front Bar\, The Project\, plus his many remarkable exploits on and off the court. These include: Skiing at Mount Buller\, winning the ITF Super Seniors Singles in Majorca\, Spain. Inducted into the ITF Hall Of Fame\, Co-Piloting a Jet Fighter\, and receiving an OAM from Her Excellency Frances Adamson at Government House the week before his 102nd birthday. \n\n\n\nForever Young will have its world premiere at The Capri Cinema Goodwood at 3pm on Sunday February 8\, 2026. \n\n\n\nFOREVER YOUNG MOVIE TICKETS on sale at HUMANITIX \n\n\n\nHenry\, Geoffrey and David Penberthy will appear onstage after the movie to conduct a Q&A with the audience. First public release DVD copies of Forever Young will be on sale for $25 in the foyer. Mail orders $30 including postage. Part Profits to Ukraine War Victims charity Tennis Plays for Peace.
