SUMMARY:Morning Memories - The Sound Of Their Music
DESCRIPTION:A celebration of the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein\, with music from South Pacific\, Oklahoma\, The King and I \, The Sound of Music and more. \nCapri organists of some note join together to present this program featuring many well known favourites from the masters of musical theatre Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein  John Slater opens the show with his selection from South Pacific\, one of the many musicals created by this talented duo. Richard Larrit then comes to the Wulitzer to play a medley from the classic musical The King and I\, which was the special feature movie shown at the Capri on New Years Eve recently. The organ will be put through its paces with lots of bells and whistles featured in this medley. Richard is then followed by Capri favourite Margie Haye. On this occasion Margie will perform a selection from perhaps Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most performed musical\, on stage or screen\, the Sound of Music. To add more variety to the program\, vocalists Heidi Rae and friends will perform other songs from the R&H repertoire  throughout the program\, accompanied by Barry Hall. \nINCLUDES\nMorning tea in the foyer \n10:00am Morning Tea\n10:30am Show\n12:00pm Finish

SUMMARY:Morning Memories - Boys And Their Toys
DESCRIPTION:Featuring several of our gentlemen musicians playing a selection of instruments along with the Mighty Wurlitzer\, including Brian Smedley\, organ\, Barry Hall\, keyboards and Maurice Paul\, accordion\, and Lloyd Russell with his Busker Organs. \nBrian Smedley opens the program with a medley of popular favourites\, expertly played on his toy of choice\, the might Wurlitzer organ. Our second artist is Maurice Paul\, with his toy of choice the piano accordion. Maurice is well known in Adelaide musical circles with his  accordion music program Sounds Continental. Capri favourite Barry Hall then takes to the stage with a musical kaleidescope performed on an electronic keyboard\, with a bit of banjo thrown in for good measure. \nThe final act on the program will be provided by TOSA member Lloyd Russell with his own special toys\, a pair of Busker Street Organs\, which Lloyd has built himself\, and are unique  in Adelaide. Being electronic the organs are able to be played separately\, or\, through the magic of electronics\, the organs can  “talk” to each other from opposite sides of the stage. He is a past winner of both the Senior Section and the Overall Winner of the American Theatre Organ Society’s Young Theatre Organist Competition. Chris is a popular artist at the prestigious Adelaide Town Hall and Festival Theatre pipe organs\, and is a featured artist at the Capri Theatre. He is in regular demand for concerts around Australia and overseas\, including New Zealand\, United Kingdom and the USA.\nAndrew Crispe has become a popular leading man in Music Theatre throughout Adelaide. His career as a stage performer began in 2000 and his roles include Danny Zuko (Grease) Don Lockwood (Singin’ In The Rain)\, Curly McLain (Oklahoma) and he also performs with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of SA. \nThe program will be a salute to stage and screen featuring some of the best loved music which has become so very popular.

DESCRIPTION:August the 22nd is a concert not to miss\, showcasing Claire Baker and Rosanne Hosking. \nFun; exciting; sometimes serious; – but Always Entertaining.\nAnd that’s just both of them ! \nClaire Baker was one of the very small number of organists invited by the City of Adelaide to perform in the Adelaide Town Hall\, as part of the ‘Organ Concert Series’\, last year. When there were no live audiences\, Claire was seen by thousands on electronic media. Claire’s last concert at the Capri with the Band of the South Australian Police was absolutely jam packed. Chris is a popular artist at the prestigious Adelaide Town Hall and Festival Theatre pipe organs\, and is a featured artist at the Capri Theatre. He is in regular demand for concerts around Australia and overseas\, including New Zealand\, United Kingdom and the USA.\nAndrew Crispe has become a popular leading man in Music Theatre throughout Adelaide. His career as a stage performer began in 2000 and his roles include Danny Zuko (Grease) Don Lockwood (Singin’ In The Rain)\, Curly McLain (Oklahoma) and he also performs with the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of SA. \nThe program will be a salute to stage and screen featuring some of the best loved music which has become so very popular.
