Back to the Future Double - Starring the De Lorean!

We had a fantastic turnout for our Back to the Future double, the final in our Cult at the Capri programme for this year. Everyone was is a nostalgic mood which was spurred on by Claire Baker belting out the theme song on the organ. Below is a pic of Daniele Hockey (right) who won a ride in De Lorean thanks to our mate Matt Warren (left) who can ride around in it whenever he damn well likes. Let's also not forget superstar Capri volunteer Ross Lange for his excellent characterisation of Doc in the Advertiser shoot below. Champion!

SA Premiere of 'Bridge of Spies'

The Capri was very proud to host the premiere of this gripping new movie from Steven Spielberg which received a standing ovation at the New York Film Festival and is certainly Oscar bound. It's Tom Hanks again at his acting best too. The foyer was a buzz with complimentary reviews after the film.

Meet and Greet with Margot Kidder

What a treat! Margot is a true star, spending quality time with each fan as she signed autographs in the foyer and thoroughly entertaining the crowd with her awe inspiring, honest and funny stories from her early days in Hollywood with "Marty" Scorcese and Al Pacino. She truly deserved the standing ovation she received at the end of the Q&A session.

Dianne Gall - Capri Paintings

The lovely Dianne has very kindly shared the fruits of her last visit to the Capri earlier this year below. This beautiful new painting is called "Arrival" 2014 (oil on linen, 61cm x 51cm).

Award Winning Photo of the Capri by Aaron Citti

The beautiful photo above the the Capri auditorium was taken by the very talented Aaron Citti and has won the Epson Signature Worthy Award in the 2014 Australian Institute of Professional Photography Awards. Aaron was commissioned by belle property as part of a community project to photograph various iconic locations of Goodwood and surrounding suburbs. See more of Aaron's stunning work at

Splashout Studios for SALA at the Capri


The 'South Australian Living Arts' Festival is the largest annual arts festival in Australia and this year it's coming to the Capri. The very talented artists from Splashout Studios will be displaying works in the foyer spaces over the course of the festival. We'll be open for movies as per usual and also open from 10am during the day if you would like to come along and have a coffee and see the works on display.

Dianne Gall - Capri Paintings

Today the very talented Dianne Gall was in for a photoshoot in preparation for some new paintings. Below are some of her beautiful previous works. On the left is "Room of collective unconscious" 2013 (Oil on linen, 35.5cm x 40.5cm and on the right is "Refuge" 2012 (Oil on linen, 71cm x 51cm).

Adeladies screening of The Other Woman

Nova 919 and 20th Century Fox

Oh what fun was had at the ultimate girls night, hosted by Nova 919's very own Lewis and Lowe. Guests were queuing down the Goodwood Road to get in to the Capri for the Adeladies screening of the Other Woman. Wine, massages, pedicures and topless men all kept the ladies entertained before the hilarious movie.

2001: A Space Odyssey

Fans flocked to the Capri Theatre at Goodwood on Saturday to meet the stars Keir Dullea & Gary Lockwood of Stanley Kubrick's cult classic film.

The foyer was buzzing with fans eager to get their posters and film souveniers autographed.  The Q & A that followed hosted by ABC 891's Movie Critic Nick Prescott was enjoyed by all, as Keir & Gary thoroughly entertained the audience with their personal stories and experience working with the phenomenal director Stanley Kubrick.

Monuments Men Premiere

The great and the good came out on the long weekend to see Mr Clooney's latest film. Based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, The Monuments Men focuses on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.
